Metal Crow skull cabinet knob made in NYC – silver finish
These very nicely cast metal crow skulls are finished in a silver finish. They are cast in small amounts here in NYC and hand finished by me. I built a few and used them at my place to test the design. Three years of everyday use and still ticking.
Spending $24 on a knob? Yes. Because if it were a necklace you would think that’s a great price. It’s jewelry for your house. Your place likes when you dress it up a bit.
I use new drawer pull hardware. The length of the screw is 1 1/2 cm or almost 3/4 inch. The screw is a standard drawer pull diameter. In most cases the existing hole in your drawer or cupboard will work fine. If you need longer/shorter screws they are a standard machine thread available at any hardware store.
The crow skull itself is 2 inches long and 3/4 of an inch wide. 5 cm x 1.27cm. They look great on a cupboard, cabinet or drawer. They are sturdy and comfortable on the hand. I find myself opening the cabinet door with a finger under the bird’s bill.
The hardware is cast as part of the piece so it is solid state.
I chose to not angle the birds bill sticking out at you because lets face it pointy things can be dangerous especially when you are walking past a set of drawers at night.
