It’s when I see skulls like these that I re-think how I draw and realise I that I have much to learn. If you don’t know the name Macarthur, you do now. The man has insane talent and is not know for simple drawings. If you like patterns and a dash of madness and you should love Iain Macarthur.
Sometimes I see guys with such an amazing talent and I hate them instantly because they are so awesome. Ok by hate I mean love. I Saw a post on Facebook yesterday by Eyes On Walls which alerted me to these illustrations by Hidden Moves. He is on Skull Appreciation Society because he utilises skulls in his designs in such a great way without becoming too dominant. We salute you sir!
Some beautiful designs by Lupe Rodriguez on cow, longhorn and buffalo skulls. The designs are created by the time consuming technique called stippling and as you may know, this basically means smalls dots. Some of the pieces take up to 80 hours. On Lupes Art website it says that these skulls are only available at Stockyard Station Gallery.
