3D Printed Skull by Mike Pelletier
This 3D printed skull called ‘Lucy Skull’ , created by Mike Pelletier for an exhibition called ‘Ctrl-Z that featured various 3D printed artworks.
This particular 3D printed skull was generated by a dental tomography scan. The form is created by starting with a life size section of the skull at the front and then each ” successive copy” of the skull is scaled and rotated. The skull ended up being rotated 180 degrees and twice the original size.
I initially thought the the design was some kind of skull and spine form, but either way the end result it amazing.
