Luke Scheid is not only a pretty damn good tattoo artist but he also has some fantasticaly vintage skulls. We found these skull pencil drawings on his Deviant artist account though you can check out some more of his tattoo work on Facebook.

Skull Tattoos Feature
Every month we will be doing a feature on our skull-of-the-month. We’ll source the best skulls in the category and post them in one mammoth post for everyone to skullivate over.
We’ve gone with skull tattoos as the first Skull-of-the-Month with many more to follow, although I suspect skull tattoos will feature again. There are over 100 Skull Tattoos featured in this post, some good, some bad and some downright ridiculous but all equally as awesome. We hope you enjoy! Please share with your other skull-loving mates. Also, if you would like to see a particular skull feature then please let us know!
If we haven’t credited the artist correctly or do not display the artists name it’s because we do not know it, not for lack of trying, but some of the images we find and share are not correctly credited to the artist and are generally pilfered from blog after blog. If you know the artist please let us know and we’ll make sure the skull creator gets our appreciation.

Here are some Day of the dead inspired skull designs that are destined to be tattoos created by Deviant artist ‘Some of that Homegrown’ AKA Ryan Holmberg. I particularly like the way he combines that classic mexican day of the dead style with other cultural influences like Russian and Rockabilly.
Then…after scheduling this post I stumbled upon these designs as tattoos. What are the chances!
The Skull Appreciation Society welcomes one of the freshest illustrating talents I have seen in awhile. I met Magnus Jansson a few years ago but little did I know that seething below the surface was this insane illustrative skill. I was recently introduced to Jansson’s work through his colourful and crazy paintings and found out that he has started a career in tattooing with ambitions to sell his art in the process.
We recommend checking out his website Deadpigeon, a name salvaged from the days of university where Magnus used to find dead pigeon outside his house. Ominous indeed!
Magnus also has the great habit of creating a sketch every morning (7 frikken am) and most of the time he captures this process on video. Definitely worth checking out. There are talks of moves to Japan, launching Deadpigeon and living the life of the art hippie
We are happy to invite you to the Society of skulls and glad we can join you on your journey.
Not only is Scott Campbell is pretty decent tattoo artists but he also has some interesting alternative outlets for his creative nature. Skulls inside eggs has to be one of the most interesting places I have seen someone put them (pen?). Maybe he should buy a skull and then paint a skull inside that skull. Skullception.
Stumbled across these photographs on 35mm Monkey’s Flickr account taken at the Toronto Tattoo Convention.
The Jesus skull is pretty creepy and I imagine it caused a stir.
