Quite awhile ago I started drawing skull portraits of my friends just to try get better at it and hone drawing skills and what not. I’m not one of those crazy mad talented portrait artists but I do enjoy drawing these occasionally but create them the Mr Four Fingers way by ‘cutting ‘ the face open. I guess retro fitting the idea you could say that the cutting is the opening up of people to reveal personalities. But that could also be a load of bollocks.

Pauline Darley’s Skull Make Up Photo Shoot
One of our favourite websites at the moment is Street Anatomy, there are always amazing posts on the site and one that caught our eye recently was this one – French photographer’s Pauline Darley’s “She has waited too long.” which was shot for Ever Magazine.
The model is Clémentine Levy and her skull make up is so striking. In fact most girls need to start wearing make up like this because it is shit hot.
Skull Allusions by Tom French
These skull paintings and screen prints from Tom French are incredible! Allusions is a screen print which was inspired by other skulltastic work in Tom’s Shrouded Perceptions. The skulls are hauntingly good with portraits of women expertly painted inside to create an illusion.
The dripping skulls could be mascots for our society. They are that fucking cool. Cracking job on the skull action Tom! We, as the Skull Appreciation Society, salute you.
