It’s so simple and yet so bloody skull-marvellous. This pencil skull collage was found on Pinterest - I searched for about 30 minutes for the artists but a man’s gotta eat! Which means I needed to cook some grub. Feel free to share the artist with us, you know we aim to please your skull satisfactions.
Steven Quinn, a Belfast-based artist, is a motion graphics designer who also likes to dabble in the world of photography, design and making collages. These skull collages are a small part of his series which I recently found on Juxtapoz.
The skull collages below appear to be untitled but as always, if I have gotten something wrong then flag that shit up
This is one of those pieces of art where that leaves me wondering if I like it. I mean the skill involved in cutting the design by hand, which looks like ultra fine mesh, is remarkable. On the other hand it is an image of Hitler.
What do we think guys? At least it depicts Hitler for the monster he was.
ORTICANOODLES do have other pieces that are less controversial with mages like ‘Pop Never Die’ depicting Andy Warhol and ‘Skate or Die’ depicting Jason Lee. Then they sway back into the grey again with images of the Queen with a skull face and skeletal body. They are actually pretty good.
Check out their extensive portfolio.
