Skull Prints from Face Off Exhibition

Street Anatomy and Skull-a-Day recently celebrated Skull Appreciation Day by holding the FACE OFF Exhibition, where artists were allowed to submit a skull and then it was dissected in half and joined with another skull, from a different artist to bring you an amazing collection of skull prints and art! Brilliant idea BTW.

These skull prints are by the main artists who were invited to be part of the Face Off Exhibition.

Princess Mononoke Related Digital Illustration

This amazing digital illustration was created by Jason E Bennett as his attempt at redesigning the opening fight of Princess Mononoke for a Miyazaki-related illustration challenge on CGHub. This movie was recommended to me by a friend and now after seeing this work I will definitely be making plans to watch it, as an illustration this good must be inspired by a pretty damn interesting film.

Skull Collages by Steven Quinn

Steven Quinn, a Belfast-based artist, is a motion graphics designer who also likes to dabble in the world of photography, design and making collages. These skull collages are a small part of his series which I recently found on Juxtapoz.

The skull collages below appear to be untitled but as always, if I have gotten something wrong then flag that shit up :)

Blooms and Bones – Skull Figure Digital Illustration

This eery skull figure floating serenely in dark waters is a digital illustration created by Bao Pham. This was him actually learning how to use Painter so we are sure to be blown away even more when he masters it. Boa Pham is a Vietnamese artist based out of USA and you can check out his CG Society portfolio here and some of his Deviations here.

Skull Print by Endless

Endless has created another interesting skull print and I’m happy to be able to share it with our society of skull lovers! I’ve also been noticing some of his street art in East London round the Brick Lane, Old Street and Shoreditch areas and would love to see some skulls making a few appearances. Maybe a collaboration with Mr Four Fingers is the trick there? What you say Dave?

Skull Mosaic by Charis Tsevis

This skull mosaic by Charis Tsevis has been doing the rounds so if you’ve seen it before then we hope you’ve enjoyed seeing it again. It is made up of tiny skulls to make up a larger skull – I guess you could call it skullception.

Charis’ work features lots of mosaic images, mainly portrait work, and you can see the rest of his work on his portfolio website.

I Love Skull Gifs

For some reason I can’t get enough of skull gifs. I fricken love them! I find lots of these on Tumblr, and with most Tumblr posts people don’t bother to credit the artist/creator of the image – MASSIVE #FAIL!

Why not make some of your own skull gifs and send them us?!
